Today's short Dvar Torah discusses the prevalent and widespread custom of doing Segulah. Do they work? Should you do them? Let me know your opinion. A Segula (Hebrew: סגולה, pl. סגולות, segulot, "remedy" or "protection") is a protective or benevolent charm or ritual in Kabbalistic and Talmudic tradition. It is part of the Jewish tradition and is a way to bring blessings or good luck. Segulahs can take many forms, including special prayers, charms, or even specific actions that are said to have magical powers. For example, some people believe that giving charity will bring good luck. Others may wear a particular type of clothing or carry a charm for protection. Segulahs are supposed to help in spiritual and practical matters, such as improving health, financial well-being, or even finding love. While many Jews use regulars with great faith and conviction, some don't believe in them. Regardless of one's beliefs, patrons are essential to the Jewish tradition and have been used for centuries. Segulahs can be a powerful tool in helping people achieve their goals, but they should not be overused or taken lightly. It's important to remember that even with the help of regulars, you still need to put in the effort and hard work necessary to make your goals a reality. Segulahs are meant to act as an "extra push" and should never be used in place of regular efforts. Additionally, it's important to remember that regulars won't always produce the desired result; they can only help increase the chances of success.
