Speaker 1:

What was possibly left for Avraham to prove? He has now passed his ninth challenge, having been asked to go up to the mountain and slaughter his son, which he passed with an A++. Then Hashem even declared out loud, atoyodati, that now I know you are a God fearing Jew. Then, just a little bit after that, avramavino gets hit with another Nisayon Another challenge. We must ask ourselves doesn't it seem rather peculiar that after he has passed all of the tests and Hashem has declared that now you have shown the world, you have shown me your true colors that it is interesting that another challenge should come, and especially in the form of a haggling about the birthplace of where to bury Sara, this lowlife named Avram? What more could Avram seek and possibly prove to Hashem that he hasn't already proven to this point? And there's Mahshmos. There's some inkling of this idea from Rabbenu. Yonah of Schwab talks something similar like this. The idea is basically that in a way, we all have a certain want and desire to show up for the big games. Just picture it You've been thrown into this prison in Uganda and now they're forcing you to bow down to an idol. No hate to Uganda, but just. You're far away from your regular habitat. And now you're being forced to do idolatry in a way. You get this oomph, this little, this is my moment to shine the spotlight's on me and you overcome and you storm out and you say, no, I'm gonna stand up for Hashem. But then how would you act if, on your way out, you see like the ticket meter parking lady has measuring your tire and your 14 inches from the curb and now she wants to arrest you and you're just gonna say I don't have time for this. You know what I just put myself all the way through. And now this Rabbenu Yonah explains because we are seeking to climb the mountain of Akadesh Baruchu. How do you know if you've succeeded? If you can sustain and endure on that level, it becomes a part of you. So Avramavino, right immediately following the biggest Nisayana of his life, he's hit with this parking ticket meter cop effron haggling with him. But he just takes it in stride because the test of the medal has now proven itself and while some may only show up for the big games, the big moments, in the championships of Avramavino, you name the time, you name the place. He is a God fearing Jew, he is the quintessential Evadashem in the big games and the small games, the trivial tribulations, everything. Avramavino shows up for it all and dominates. Follow his path, beat the big ones and beat the small ones.
